Join us to discuss deconstructing activities in equine-assisted services (EAS) with the support of recent research to analyze and understand horse-human interactions from the perspective of the horse as well as the therapeutic goals for the participant.

Dr. Emily Kieson PhD, MS, PgDip, ESMHL and Sharolyn Wadzura EFLP have teamed up to create a course that uses recent research to deconstruct common activities in equine-assisted services (EAS) and reevaluate the ways we interact with horses in this context. In this course we will analyze the tools and techniques used in common EAS activities based on equine ethology and human psychology and reconstruct new activities that better align with equine wellbeing and human therapeutic goals.
